Assistance with Self-Care
We are here to help people with disabilities maintain their highest level of independence possible. Participants may receive these services in the comfort of their own homes.
Assistance with Self-Care activities is accessible and easy to obtain since it is adaptable and can be moulded to fit the specific requirements of each individual.
Although these services are typically provided in the participant’s own home, they are also available in a community setting if preferred.


Personal Care Assistant
MyPeople Disability & Support
Provide individuals with a personal care assistant to monitor them as they carry out daily activities to teach them to become as self-sufficient as possible. Personal Care Activities that are provided but not limited to are: General Personal care, showering, dressing, moving around the house and performing regular household tasks.
- Properly taking proper care of oneself by bathing and otherwise
- Dress up
- Grooming
- To get in and out of bed
- Duties around the house like washing clothes, making beds, and cleaning
- Provide participants who want to live independently with respite care, temporary housing, and any assistance or support they need to do so.
- Maintaining one’s home and garden
- Mobility/lifting transfers
- Activities and schedule preparation
- Temporary assistance in a centre or group home with personal care, housing, nutrition, and recreational opportunities
- Assistance with meal-planning and cooking
Whether you live alone, with even a family, or in a shared household, MyPeople Disability & Support will be there to assist you in every step of the way.
